Key West Turtle Museum Awarded Grant

Museum Receives Project Support Grant for Sea Turtles and Us: Our Past, Present and Future Together

The Mel Fisher Maritime Museum today announced the award of a grant in the amount of $18,500 to support, in part, new exhibition modules and enhancements at the Key West Turtle Museum. The award is from the Sea Turtle Grants Program, funded from the proceeds from the sale of the Florida Sea Turtle License Plate. “This grant allows the museum not only to create new exhibition modules at the KW Turtle Museum, but to grow and expand our off-site offerings,” said Melissa Kendrick, President/CEO of the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum.
